Born in Papua New Guinea to a fine artist and sculptor, I was exposed to the art world from an early age. After a brief stint at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, I studied at Edinburgh College of Art graduating as Student of the Year.
Winning a Royal Society of Arts student award led to working at the renowned Pentagram. When Partner David Hillman started his own studio I joined. A move to Sydney followed, working for notable designer Vince Frost, and afterwards Interbrand. Back in London, I was Design Director at Fitch before freelancing for Apple, M&S and Sky.
Through my experience, I believe design can help solve business problems by prioritising the ‘why’ and ‘how’, rather than the ‘what’. It then gives reason, purpose and intent behind every decision made.
The turn it into reality part of the partnership. 20 years of event and project management experience for some of the best in the business.
Drawing on my groundings as a solicitor at Freshfields, and the subsequent experiences gained through managing logistics for an NGO in Namibia, and a thriving hospitality business in rural South Africa – anything is possible.
Whilst the creative is the bedrock on which everything at One by One is based, without solid knowledge on how we can deliver the end product it’s just imaginings on a page.
Our collaboration is not only with our clients but with our specialist delivery partners, working together to push boundaries. We learn with each new project and use this experience to inform us in the next.
